Canada. Uniface Die Trial Dollar, 1971. An extremely rare uniface die trial of a proposed design for the 1971 British Columbia Commemorative Dollar. This plain edge pattern appears to be struck in nickel and has been lightly lacquered. The design depicts three intertwined Pacific Salmon centered between the dates 1871 and 1971. The designer's initials BG appear backwards to the right of the 1871 date. Possibly Unique: at the very least, exceedingly rare. Uncirculated.
